In the 1980s we had been based in Inverness, Highland Scotland. On our return to England we missed the ‘Scotland experience’! We decided a decade later to seek a ‘bolthole’ within a day’s driving distance from South Yorkshire and found it in Tayside. We would like to share our home with you; thus experience the visiting of lochs, distilleries, the Pitlochry theatre – the theatre in the hills, castles or even touring Perthshire in the footsteps of Queen Victoria.

Alternatively, just simply admire the scenery from the Queen’s view, watch salmon leaping at the Hermitage, Dunkeld or watch the ospreys diving for fish in Loch Lowes; perhaps even spot a wild cat in local woods at Kirkmichael. The more energetic visitors have nearby some of the finest golf courses, rivers, walks, such as the Cateran Trail, and off road driving in the country, where they can indulge their love for the outdoor sports.
